Featured Wines:

2014 Viognier – This wine has a nose of pear and apple in a baked cobbler with nutmeg, honey and vanilla. Experience tastes of tart apple and very fresh, underripe pear with a bit of fresh apricot and delightful acidity. The finish lingers; the crispness develops into a light caramel taste and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Pair it with crab, mild curries, rich cheese sauces, or lobster macaroni and cheese.

2016 Lioness – Lioness is a pale rose gold color with aromas of crisp apple, vanilla, allspice, florals, light gardenia and jasmine. Tangy and refreshing, this wine has apple, light cherry and grapefruit flavors in the forward and mid-palate and ends with a smooth clean finish. Pair with a wide variety of foods: entree salads, paninis, moules marinières, grilled seafood or chicken, or an assembly of charcuterie, cheeses and fresh fruits au naturel.

2015 Two Lions – This wine is a blend of 60% Grenache Noir and 40% Syrah. Made from ripe fruit with good acid and tannins, it has a lingering dried-cherry mouthfeel. A balanced and nuanced wine, it expresses the synergy of two classic Rhone varietals. This wine pairs well with barbecue beef brisket or pork shoulder, grilled lamb and specialty sausage, as well as pizza and flatbreads and dishes with fresh rosemary, thyme or marjoram.

Available Food: Lion Ranch offers small cheeses and meat snacks for $5 or less.
