Celebrated jewelry designer Philippa Roberts reveals her latest collections at Annieglass—the newest store to Santana Row—on July 25 during a special Meet the Maker trunk show.

Be among the first to see Philippa’s new designs, shop an expanded selection of the sought-after sterling silver, gold and gemstone jewelry all day, 10am-9pm, and Meet the Maker! Philippa Roberts will be at Annieglass on Santana Row from 2-6pm sharing her handmade process and personalized styling tips. Attendees can also enter Annieglass’ raffle for a chance to win the luxury glassware, sustainably handcrafted on California’s central coast.

“Philippa has a huge following for her jewelry. She is consistently innovating organic and sculptural forms of jewelry that are comfortable, unique, and modern; and she is so kind, taking the time to help people choose the jewelry pieces that look best on them,” says Annieglass artist/owner Annie Morhauser. “Philippa will bring designs we haven’t seen yet...her jewelry is always so in-demand, I can't wait for the sneak peek and to shop, too!”

Philippa established her first studio in the basement of her San Francisco apartment building in 1996. Here she paired her love of the ocean with an appreciation for urban architecture’s clean lines, and developed her jewelry’s signature look: simple, organically shaped metals often combined with cut gemstones. Her designs caught the Bay Area’s attention, including Annie who began carrying the jewelry in Annieglass’ retail stores in 2003, and Philippa opened a large design studio and retail store in Oakland. Her jewelry is now sold worldwide, and featured in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the DeYoung Museum, and the Museum of Art and Design in New York City.

Annie fell in love the moment she first saw glassblowing, at a College of San Mateo event on Waddell Creek beach. She turned her passion to practice, and determined to learn the craft took night classes at San Francisco State, before graduating from Oakland’s California College of the Arts with a degree specializing in glass. She opened her first studio in Santa Cruz and now, 32 years later, Annie has transformed Annieglass into a globally recognized luxury glassware company, with work on permanent display in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Today, Annie retains her love for artisan glassmaking and the region that grew her, sustainably handcrafting Annieglass serveware, dinnerware and gifts in her Watsonville studio, with a new company retail store on Santana Row.
