Brews and Views welcomes Malka Kopell, co-founder of Civity, to discuss the need to build a “21st century civic infrastructure” that addresses 21st century problems and is designed to serve all members of society, especially those on the margin. Malka Kopell has spent much of her life trying to get people to work together better in the civic context. In 1990 Malka founded the nonprofit Community Focus to facilitate more effective implementation of public policies by increasing community participation. Following a discussion between Kopell and Mendonca on civic infrastructure, they will open the floor for a Q&A with the audience.
