Cetrella tickles the senses with flirty food combinations, artistic plating and a stylish interior that will make you want to come back for more.

Upon entering the spacious venue that has a separate bar, main and private dining rooms, General Manager and Partner M'hamed Bahet greeted us with a warm demeanor and sweet smile. “Welcome to Cetrella!” We immediately felt right at home.

After sitting at our table and taking a moment to appreciate Cetrella’s comfortable interior, we turned our attention to the menu—a creation of Executive Chef Michael Ellis (formerly with The Charlie Palmer Group where his cooking contributed to a 2006 Michelin star at Dry Creek Kitchen). Inspired by the Mediterranean rim and California coast, Ellis’ menu offers a variety of intriguing and carefully curated dishes. (Take a look for yourself!)

Every morsel from savory to sweet was perfection and we will be back for the same and more.

Grilled Marinated Spanish Octopus with avocado puree, fingerling potatoes, romesco sauce, charred lemon and micro cilantro

Bellwether Farms Jersey Cows Milk Ricotta Gnudi with roasted Brussels sprouts, gorgonzola, chili-garlic bread crumbs

Risotto of Three Mushrooms with beech, hen of the woods and king oyster mushrooms, grana padano, fine herbs, white truffle oil, red wine gastrique

Grilled Pacific Swordfish with chard, savoury clams, merguez sausage, bouillabaisse broth

Tahitian Vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries, saba and citrus tuile.

Affogato with cinnamon ice cream, espresso, brioche beignet doughnuts

After six dishes of delight, you know you’ve lived a true dining experience when you don’t want to leave and are a little too full! In this case, we were spoiled by the service and the food. Cetrella in Los Altos is a perfect restaurant for holidays, big groups, business meetings, events and date night. There’s also a location in Half Moon Bay.
