What does it take to create a memorable occasion? No less than a special blend of ingredients. A mix of energy and time combined with mood-setting music and decor highlighted with food to share, drinks to toast with and, most importantly, the people we surround ourselves with.

This winter season, let’s allow joy to fuel us and all that we put our time and energy into. From gatherings like football watching parties and holiday meals to cozy leisurely mornings, let’s take a moment, inhale, and enjoy it all.

May you find inspiration in this issue for all your celebrations, and also for your regular day-to-day. Discover a recipe that emphasizes the season’s tastiest produce. (Hint: Any produce that is local and seasonal is going to be just that!) Find delight in slowing down, perhaps over afternoon tea and a bit of cake? Check out a new place that presents something fresh and exciting just for the season. Keep alive departed loved ones by sharing memories with others who knew them. Visit a small business where the owner knows so much about what they offer that you leave with stories to tell. Continue to support our local farmers by visiting their farms or heading to one of our year-round farmers markets.

And remember to just breathe and savor this special season.

Wishing you comfort and joy,

Coline LeConte
