Mint Whipped Cream

Freshly picked mint adds a burst of flavor and makes any dessert something to celebrate.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1½ Cup(s)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh spearmint or peppermint
  • 1½ cups whipping cream
  • 1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

About this recipe

A dollop of mint whipped cream is a fresh take on the traditional topping for holiday desserts. Serve it over a slice of luscious chocolate pie or on a mug of toasty hot chocolate.

Instructions

Place the mint and cream in a small saucepan over a low heat until small bubbles just begin to form around the sides of the pan.

Do not let the cream boil. Cool.

Pour the cream through a mesh strainer and discard the mint. Chill.
