Cranberry Rosemary Shandies

Usually reserved for summer, these shandies get a holiday winter makeover. They’re quite light on the alcohol and make for easy sipping.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 6
  • 2 cups 100% cranberry juice, chilled
  • ¾ cup rosemary simple syrup, chilled (see recipe below)
  • 1 pint hard cider, such as Golden State Cider Mighty Dry, chilled (substitute sparkling apple or nonalcoholic sparkling fruit juice for a mocktail version)
  • Bitters, such as Bitter Girl Bitters Pear Jordan, for serving
  • Rosemary sprigs, for garnish

About this recipe

You only need four ingredients: local hard cider, cranberry juice, homemade rosemary simple syrup and a dash of bitters. Substitute sparkling apple juice or cider for a nonalcoholic version. Cheers!

Instructions

In a large liquid measuring cup or pitcher, stir together the cranberry juice and simple syrup.

Divide the mixture among 6 champagne glasses (about 4 ounces per glass).

Top off each glass with about 2 ounces of hard cider or sparkling apple cider, garnish with rosemary sprigs and serve right away.
