Homesteader's Fair at Hidden Villa
Calling all backyard gardeners, farmers, fermenters, foragers, and makers! Join us as we celebrate the practice of sustainability and self-reliance through backyard agriculture and the cultivation of culinary and craft skills. Hear from local experts and passionate enthusiasts, and learn to use natural resources in your community. With demonstrations and conversations in sheep shearing, fiber arts, food preservation, backyard livestock care, composting, fruit tree maintenance, and so much more, you are guaranteed to leave with knowledge and inspiration!
Join us for:
- Informational booths dedicated to a broad spectrum of small-scale agriculture, food, and craft topics, including beekeeping, cheesemaking, winemaking, fermented foods and beverages, and more
- A full schedule of demonstrations and presentations, including beer brewing, fruit tree maintenance, backyard chicken care, and pickling
- An exciting selection of local food & farm businesses sharing small-batch products crafted with love
- An opportunity to get to know some incredible food and farm-based organizations from around the Bay
