Do you want to learn more about bees firsthand? Go on the kid-friendly Bee-ginning Beekeeping Hive Tour and take a peak inside a suburban beehive! On this tour, you'll open a hive and see how bees live - collecting and storing pollen and nectar, raising their young, and more. And if you're lucky, you might even see the queen bee! Beekeeper Kendal Sager will talk about how bees create honey and beeswax as well as how it is harvested for use in some of your favorite products. Whether you're a gardener, nature lover or just want to get outside on the weekend, you'll be fascinated by the way these little insects work together.

Beekeeping suits or veils will be provided. It is asked that you wear a T-shirt with a removable light-weight long-sleeved shirt layer, light-weight pants and closed-toe shoes. Also, don't wear perfume or heavily scented lotion - the primary way bees communicate is through scent, so it's important not to have strong smells around them.

Please contact Kendal's Bees in advance if you have an allergy to bees or any other pre-existing medical conditions.
