We grow such beautiful plants and flowers in our landscape; why not grow something to eat too? With all the questions about pesticides and GMOs, it’s challenging to know what’s in our food and where our food comes from. The good news is you don’t need a big area in your yard to grow your own fruits and vegetables for your family, and to share with your neighbors and friends.

This class will help teach some practices of permaculture, and how and what kinds of fruits and vegetables you can grow organically in your landscape. Container growing, micro climates, plant placement, soil fertility, and care for your landscape will also be discussed.

Class led by UC Master Gardener David Martinez.
