California Thanksgiving for Vegetarians
Veteran organic farmer, cook, and vegetarian, Jason McKenney, will offer this hands-on cooking tutorial in the preparation of seasonal, vegetarian Thanksgiving entrees. The class will focus on techniques for preparing savory dishes that celebrate plant-based cooking without striving to imitate meat. We will go over the steps in making winter squash gratin, mushroom rosemary gravy, twice baked potatoes, savory nut roasted kale, and caramelized onion and carrot fritters. All food prepared will be off of Hidden Villa's organic farm and the class will conclude with a meal featuring all these items!
